THREE MEMORANDUM OF UNDER STANDINGS (MOU) SIGNED BETWEEN GOVERNMENT OF SINDH AND JAPAN FOR PRIORITY PROJECTS OF ENERGY, INFRASTRUCTURE, AND MASS TRANSIT
Karachi, December 11, 2013: Three separate Memorandum of under standings (MoU) with total investment of $ 6.3 Billion were signed between Government of Sindh and Japan based company ETON to invest in priority projects of energy, infrastructure, and mass transit in a simple but impressive ceremony held at CM House Karachi today. The Director General Sindh Board of Investment (SBOI) Mr. Riazuddin Qureshi and The Chief Executive ETON Company Mr. Shageston Kono signed on behalf of government of Sindh and ETON Company respectively. The Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah, The Sindh Minister for Transport Mumtaz Jakhrani, The Sindh Minister Information Shajreel Inam Memon, The Sindh Minister Food Jam Mehtab Dahar, The Advisor to Chief Minister for Finance Syed Murad Ali Shah, The Provincial Secretary Energy Agha Wasif Abbas, Secretary Transport Mr. Tuaha Ahmed, Secretary Finance Sohail Rajput, Secretary to CM Rai Sikandar and other officers of related Deptt witness the ceremony.

SINDH CHIEF MINISTER PRESIDES MEETING ABOUT UNIVERSITIES
The Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah has said that legal mechanism is required to ensure access and standard education to each citizen. He said that a committee with academic and legal experts has been constituted to propose the universities amendments bill carefully for the improvement, capacity building of the universities, teaching community and students to ensure quality of education in each public sector university. This he said while presiding over meeting to review proposed universities amendment bill held at Chief Minister House today.

The Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah has taken serious notice of the two separate attacks each on the police mobile of A-Section Police Station Latifabad Hyderabad and Police Mobile Sakhi Pir Station Area at Liaquat colony Hyderabad martyring four and injuring two police officials and directed the DIG Police Hyderabad to cordon the areas, conduct search operation and ensure the arrest of terrorists involved in this heinous crime.Read more
