    US Ambassador Ms. Annie W. Peterson call on Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali shah

Karachi 27 September: US Ambassador in Pakistan Ms. Annie W. Peterson today had farewell call on today on completion of her tenure, with Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah at Chief Minister House. US Counsul General in Karachi Mr. William J.Martin also accompanied her.

                        She discussed matter of mutual interest and informed that United States had supported for restoration of democracy and civilian rule in Pakistan. and for that she had made some contribution. She added that USA had always fully respected the democratic institutions while the American has provided maximum assistance and cooperation to present democratic government.

                        US Ambassador apprised the Chief Minister that her country extended relief assistance more than countries for combating flood situation. She added that international community is also being mobilized to assist Pakistan She said that Donor’s Conference will be held at Pakistan in November for which international institutions will impart their responsibilities and will be asked to fully support for rehabilitation of people and provision of infrastructure.

                        US Ambassador also expressed her satisfaction on security measures in Karachi, Chief Minster Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah apprised the US Ambassador about losses of floods in Sindh. He also informed that capacity of Police has been increased and special measure have been involved to improve law & order in province

Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah Spent Busy Day. Attends Assembly session and Meeting of Parliamentary Party.

 

Karachi 24 September:  Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah today spent busy day and attended proceedings of first day current session. He participated in the business of Assembly and later on his way to Chief Minister House, met with people of different walks of life within the premises of Assembly building.

                        Syed Qaim Ali Shah listened to the problems of people and received applications from youth there. He also attended the meeting of parliamentary party of PPP members in Sindh Assembly at his Assembly chamber. Chief Minister Sindh also received applications from MPA’s and issued necessary orders.

Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah condoles the death of veteran Journalist Abul Akhyar.

Karachi 23 September:  Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah has expressed his deep sorrows and grief on sad demise of veteran Journalist Abul Akhyar who died yesterday at the age of 83.

He has offered condolence and prayed from Almighty to depart his soul in eternal peace and give courage to his family members to bear this irreparable loss.
