PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISION RECONSTITUTED. MR. S.N ABBASI
APPOINTED AS CHAIRMAN.
KARACHI
MAY 26: The Government of Sindh has reconstituted the
Sindh Public Service Commission, and has ordered that
the existing Chairman and Members of the commission shall
cease to hold their offices with immediate effect.
Accoridng to a notification issued by the Chief Secretary
Sindh, the Government of Sindh has appointed as Mr. S.N
Abbasi Chairman of the commission, while Mr. Muhakumuddin
Qadri, Mr. Nawaz Ali Leghari, Mr. Ibrar Mirza, Mr. Inayat
Baloch, Dr. Akbar Haider Soomro, Professor Fahimuddin,
Mr. Shah Mansoor Alam, Mr. Fayaz Ali Khan and Mr. Mumtaz
Ahmed have been appointed as Members of the Commission.
They have been appointed for a single non-renewable term
of 5 years with immediate effect.

MAY 26: Consul General of United Arab Emirates His Excellency
Bakht Ateeq Ali Al-Romaithi today called on Chief Minister
Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah at Chief Minister House.
He discussed matters of mutual interest with Chief Minister
Sindh and remained there for some time. Sindh Minister
for Agriculture Syed Ali Nawaz Shah was also present.

BRITISH
DEPUTY HIGH COMMISSION CALLS ON CHIEF MINISTER SINDH.
KARACHI
MAY 22: The British Deputy High Commissioner (United Kingdom)
Mr. Gibson today called on Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim
Ali Shah at Chief Minister House.
Both discussed matters of mutual interest and past period
of memories. Chief Minister Sindh informed the Deputy
High Commissioner about socio-economic conditions, law
and order situation and other aspects of Sindh province.
Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that present elected Government
has adopted measures to curb the activities of anti-social
elements, with the results; the trend of street crime
has decreased. Syed Qaim Ali Shah further said that Sindh
province is rich in natural resources and manpower, and
the Government has evolved an strategy to utilize all
the resources for the progress and prosperity of the province.
He further said that special emphasis has been made for
healthcare and furtherance of education including Information
Technology.
Mr. Gibson thanked the Chief Minister Sindh for hospitality
and appreciated the work of presentation at Institute
of Sindhology and Sindh Provincial Museum.
General Secretary PPP Mr. Nafees Siddiqui, Special Secretary
to C.M Mr. Agha Akhtar Jan and others were also present.
