SYED NAVEED QAMAR CALLS ON CHIEF MINISTER SINDH.

KARACHI JULY 09: Federal Minister for Finance Syed Naveed Qamar today called on Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah at Chief Minister House. Sindh Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs Mr. Muhammad Ayaz Soomro was also present.
He discussed matters of mutual interest and various Federal and Sindh Government issues. Former Advisor to Chief Minister Mr. Asad Ali Shah and Secretary to C.M Sindh Syed Sohail Akbar Shah were also present on the occasion. Later, Federal Minister for Finance & Chief Minister Sindh took lunch.

CONSUL GENERAL OF BAHRAIN CALLS ON CHIEF MINISTER SINDH
KARACHI JULY 09: Consul General of the Kingdom of Bahrain Mr. Khalid Mohmmad Ali Al-Tamimi called on Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah at Chief Minister House. Both the leaders discussed matters of mutual interest. Chief Minister Sindh welcomed the Consul General, and apprised him about political and economic situation emerged after general elections.
Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that there are cordial relations between two brethren countries and both countries had assisted each other at the time of happiness and sorrows. He said that people from many countries are approaching the administration in this regard. He said that intending investors are being provided all sort of assistance and guidance so that best achievements in furtherance of industry, promotion of trade and enhancement of relations and exchange of cultural and traditional costumes. Consul General of Bahrain presented books on Bahrain and gifts to Chief Minister Sindh. Chief Minister Sindh also gave away traditional gifts of Sindhi cap and Ajrak to the Consul General of Bahrain.

MOINUDDIN HAIDER CALLS ON SINDH CHIEF MINISTER.

KARACHI JULY 09: Former Governor of Sindh and Chairman Fatimid Foundation (Pakistan) Lt. Gen. (Rtd.) Moinuddin Haider called on Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah at Chief Minister House. He discussed matters related to welfare of people specially in the health and education sector. Mr. Moinuddin Haider apprised the Chief Minister Sindh about social services of Fatimid Foundation Blood Transfusion Project. He informed that this service is being rendered free of cost for poor & needy patients mainly children suffering from Thalassaemia.
He also informed that a centre is also being set-up at Hyderabad, and project further will be expanded in other parts of the Sindh province. He hoped that Government will fully support and extend hand of cooperation. Chief Minister Sindh appreciated the efforts of Fatimid Foundation, and hoped that Mr. Moinuddin Haider will further work for the welfare of common men particularly the needy poor people who can not afford the expenses of treatment. Syed Qaim Ali Shah assured that Government will fully support public welfare oriented projects, and will extend all type of assistance

ARTHUR BAYHAN HELD MEETING WITH C.M SINDH.

KARACHI JULY 09: Additional Chief Secretary (Planning & Development) Mr. Nazar Hussain Mahar alongwith Chief Executive Officer, Competitiveness Support Fund (CSF) of USA Mr. Arthur Bayhan today held a meeting with Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah at Chief Minister House.
They discussed the schemes being initiated under CSF, and decisions were taken in this regard.

CHIEF MINISTER SINDH PRESIDES LAW & ORDER MEETING.


KARACHI JULY 08: Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah presided a high level meeting regarding Law & Order of Sindh province particularly of the Karachi. The meeting reviewed in detail about situation prevailing after yesterday’s Bomb blasts in various areas of Karachi.
Chief Minister Sindh expressed his grief and concern on those blasts and dissatisfaction over poor performance of the law enforcing agencies. He strictly directed that security measures further be tightened keeping in view the incidents of yesterday. He said that the Police and Rangers & law enforcing agencies should jointly be vigilant in various parts of the province so that anti-state and anti-people elements may not succeed in their conspiracies.
Syed Qaim Ali Shah stressed well coordinated relations between law enforcing agencies and security personals, so as to ensure prompt security of lives and properties of people. He thanked the Almighty Allah that the conspiracy of terrorists and anti-people elements to create hatred among various factions of society which was foiled, while it will be joint effort of government & people to foil the intentions of those elements in future also. Later, the Chief Minister Sindh was brief in detail about yesterday’s incidents. The meeting was informed that in all there were seven blasts, which included to serious blasts, occurred in Taxi and Motorcycle. The meeting was informed that with the blessings of Almighty Allah, there was no causality, while 43 persons were injured out of which eight persons are seriously injured, who are being treated on government expenses.
It was decided that the affected areas will be provided facilities of electricity, water & sewerage system. The meeting lauded the spirit and response of people expressed for unity, brotherhood and cohesion; and hoped that people will foil the nefarious designs of anti-people elements. Chief Minister Sindh directed the members of committee viz Mr. A.D Khawaja DIG Police, Mr. Aleem Jafri DIG Police to submit their interim report about causes of incident within two days. Chief Minister Sindh also directed Additional I.G Police Special Branch Mr. Saud Mirza to prepare a separate report about different aspects of yesterday’s incidents. It was also decided that the person who may inform the names of persons or elements involved in yesterday’s incident, they will be given reward of Rs.10 lacs, with assurance that their names be kept in secret.
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Sindh Mr. Fazal-u-Rehman, I.G. Police Sindh Mr. Babar Khatak, Director General Rangers Sindh Maj. Gen. Liaquat Ali, Home Secretry Sindh Mr. M.Arif Khan, CCPO Karachi Wasim Khan, Additional I.G Police Special Branch Mr. Saud Mirza, DIG (Investigation) Ghulam Qadir Thebo, DIG Police West Aleem Jafri, DIG Police East A.D Khawaja, DIG Police South Iqbal Mehmood and others.
