ACTION TO BE TAKEN AGAINST CRIMINALS AND DACOITS THROUGHOUT
SINDH PROVINCE – CHIEF MINISTER SINDH.
KARACHI
JUNE 28: A high level meeting was held yesterday under
the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali
Shah at Chief Minister House. The meeting discussed in
detail the law and order situation of Sindh Province particularly
in Karachi and upper Sindh. Advisor to Prime Minister
for Interior Affairs Mr. Rehman A. Malik also attended
the meeting.
It was decided to take prompt action against criminals,
dacoits and anti-social elements so that affected people
could remain in peaceful atmosphere and can attend their
day-to-day problems. Chief Minister Sindh directed that
no any negligency and careless will be accepted, while
strict action should be taken against criminals and dacoits,
without any consideration or distinction. He said that
with the blessings of Almighty Allah and support of people,
the province of Sindh will be made place of peace, tranquility,
brotherhood and so that the people of province could earn
bread for their children, avail education, employment
opportunities and progress. He said that peaceful conditions
are essential for progress of society, betterment of economic
and industrial situation.
Syed Qaim Ali Shah further said that present Government
was against any injustice, and Sifarish Culture, while
there are senior and experienced officers in Sindh Police
and it is hoped that they will perform their duties with
honesty and responsibility.
The meeting was also attended by Sindh Home Minister Dr.
Zulfikar Mirza, Nabeel Gabol MNA, I.G Police Sindh Dr.
Shoaib Suddle, Home Secretary Sindh Muhammad Arif Khan
Director General Rangers Sindh Maj. Gen. Liaquat, CCPO

ATMOSPHERE WILL ENCOURAGE INVESTMENTS AND PROGRESS IN PAKISTAN
PARTICULARLY SINDH PROVINCE – SYED QAIM ALI SHAH.

JUNE 27: Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah visited
National Stadium yesterday evening. He paid visit to witness
cricket match between Pakistan and India – Asia Cup
2008, where cricket fan and youth warmly welcomed the Chief
Minister Sindh and shouted slogans of “Narey Narey
Narey Bhutto – Jeeay Jeeay Jeeay Bhutto”, “Zinda
Hai Bhutto Zinda Hai”, “Shaheed Benazir Bhutto
Zindabad”. Chief Minister Sindh raised the hand and
replied to cheerful cricket fans & youth present in
the stadium.
Chief Minister Sindh also met with office bearers of Pakistan
Cricket Board. He was also briefed about security measures
and arrangements made for Asia - Cup Cricket match by T.P.O
Clifton Mr. Azad Khan. He was given details in the Security
Control Room. Syed Qaim Ali Shah was accompanied by Sindh
Sports Minister Dr. Muhammad Ali Shah, former Minister Haji
Munawar Ali Abbasi MPA, PPP leader Abu Bhai, Special Assistant
to Chief Minister Mr. Waqar Mehdi, Mr. Imtiaz Mallah; and
others.
Talking to mediamen and reporters there, Syed Qaim Ali Shah
said that with concerted efforts of present government,
the law and order situation has improved a lot and day-by-day
the situation will be further better, which is not only
essential for recreational activities in the province but
is also essential for economic activity in the province.
Chief Minister Sindh further said that cricket fan and youth
were expressing their happiness and emotions which show
remarkable change of attitudes and atmosphere. Syed Qaim
Ali Shah said that both teams played the game very well,
which also expresses full confidence of Indian people and
the team players. Chief Minister Sindh maintained that Pakistan
is a peaceful country and the present situation is not only
better for sports but also invites foreign investment to
fully participate in economic activities and invest for
the development and progress of the people of Sindh province.
Syed Qaim Ali Shah further maintained that security measures
have been tightened, and it is hoped that by the blessings
of Almighty Allah, people will forget the talks about security.
He added that when there will be peace with prompt security,
the common men can play positive role in the society. Syed
Qaim Ali Shah said that there is People’s Government
in Pakistan, and people are gaining confidence in their
ranks, as the Coalition Government had created better atmosphere
with sense of brotherhood and love, while there is atmosphere
of legislation instead of violence and hindrances in assembly
proceedings.
Chief Minister Sindh maintained that Present Government
wants to see development and prosperity, and it is hoped
that due to healthy atmosphere, there will be opportunities
of social and sports activities. He further said that due
to peace & confidence, the local & foreign investors
are approaching the Government for investment. Mr. Shah
said that with such measures, people will also divert their
attention towards positive matters, which is better for
all of us. Chief Minister said that investors from Muslim
countries are approaching, and the match played yesterday
evening between Pakistan and India will spread message of
unity, brotherhood and peace throughout world, and will
create spirit of joy. Later, the Chief Minister Sindh witnessed
match for about two hours.

CHIEF MINISTER SINDH EXPRESSES CONDOLENCE WITH SYED KHURSHEED
AHMED SHAH.

JUNE 27: Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah has expressed
his grief and sorrow on sad demise of Syed Qadeer Ahmed
Shah brother-in-law of PPP leader and Federal Minister Syed
Khursheed Ahmed Shah.
He has prayed from Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul
and give fortitude and courage to bereaved family members.
